Ma. Carmen L. Testa, or “Car”or “Maricar” as her friends call her, is a Holistic Life, Career and Executive Coach and Change Consultant who has over 30 years of professional experience.

Her coaching work with managers and executives focuses on supporting personal, professional and leadership development. As a coach, she brings a sense of curiosity, objectivity and open-mindedness to empower her clients to learn more about themselves and their world, and to inquire about their opportunities, challenges, issues, from a viewpoint of better knowing. Her approach enables clients to make informed decisions, be more resilient and to actively take steps to achieve what they want at work and in life.

Her consulting specialty is in Organization and Human Performance, including leadership development, business solutions and technology deployment, change management, technology change assimilation, organization design and development/change, human resources management, performance management, and learning design and development. Her areas of interest include leadership and management development, leadership and executive coaching, action learning, strategic human resource management, management of change in organizations, corporate culture, and entrepreneurship.

She was Founder and President of PrimaryEdge, Inc., a management consulting and business process outsourcing company. She has worked on various consulting engagements and projects in various industries in both the public and private sectors during her career in SGV Consulting, Andersen Consulting and Accenture, and beyond.

Prior to setting up PrimaryEdge, Inc. in 2003 in collaboration with former SGV Consulting colleagues, she was an Associate Partner in Accenture Philippines, formerly Andersen Consulting, where she headed the Change Management Competency Group, and later on, the Government Market Unit. Her responsibilities as head of these consulting groups included leading and developing the practice, developing and mentoring its consulting professionals, developing business opportunities, and leading and managing client projects. She was part of Accenture’s Solutions Engineering service line which focused on designing, building and deploying complex industry-specific, reusable and scalable solutions that typically integrate business processes, technology and human performance components.

She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and earned her certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), the globally recognized leading membership association for the project management profession. She is a member coach of and earned her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF).   She is certified by The Leadership Circle for The Leadership Circle ProfileTM, a leadership development company committed to developing leadership competencies and supporting leadership transformation from the inside out.

Maricar is also an Adjunct Faculty in the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and has taught in the School of Executive Education and Lifelong Learning, the Washington Sycip Graduate School of Business, the Stephen Zuellig Graduate School for Development Management, and the Applied Research and Advisory Corporation, which was a partnership between AIM and JICA which is the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

In her career with SGV Consulting, Andersen Consulting and Accenture, she attended various training and workshops in the USA, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia and Japan. She holds a Masters in Entrepreneurship (Graduated with Superior Performance) from the Asian Institute of Management. She completed the required academic units and comprehensive exams for a Masters in Psychology from the University of Sto. Tomas. She completed her A.B. Psychology in Assumption College, San Lorenzo, Makati City
